    Eric Paulson Pipes

If you look at his sold pipes, the #111 "Red Devil Anse" pipe was a commission for me. I asked for the 101, with my own color scheme. Went with some red stain, cumberland stem, and fake bone band. I've had it for about a month, and it has been smoking wonderfully. Good draw, a big bowl for a...

    One Pipe For Life

My Moretti freehand. It isn't necessarily my best smoker, but it was the first big gift my wife ever bought me. She told me to find pipes I liked, and then she had to approve one that she liked as well. :puffy:

    Looking for a Recommendation

Hello gentlemen. I am looking to see what sort of recommendations I can get for pipe makers. I have been thinking a lot about getting my first commissioned pipe done, but I am having a hard time locating makers. I'm looking for someone to make me a rusticated version of the "Devil Anse" pipe...

    Pipe Stigma?

The problem I had while still around campus was that I had a hard time separating myself for the hipster pipe movement. I am 25 and in grad school. Already my smoking a pipe seems suspect. Truth be told I started because my Dad did/does. The smell and the practice was nostalgic. As I start...

The Rarity Of The Pipe Smoker

Really, the only person I see regularly smoking a pipe is my father. He smokes captain black mostly, and all of his pipe are black rusticated. I'm going on 10 months of pipe smoking,so I'm definitely new. I tend to do a lot of sampling and send stuff my dad's way since he's my only pipe buddy...

    Where Do You Smoke?

I'm a big fan of smoking while I drive home from work. I work in public schools, so tobacco free is the way I spend my day. That 30 minute drive home with the window down part of the way with some good music playing just washes away any stress that tries to hang around. I also enjoy smoking...

    Ural Meerschaum

Yeah I know Baki normally signs them. I was just reading that Deniz is a dealer in the US that works with him. Wasn't necessarily thinking it was a baki. Photobucket is giving me lip right now. Let's see if I can get the pictures on here. Using a different image host. Sorry for the quality as...

    Ural Meerschaum

Hey guys, Been a while and I have a question. I recently came across a Ural meerschaum pipe, and on a whim bought it. I know basic information about meerschaums, but could not find much information on Ural. From what I can gather, Ural is the name of a US distributor that has some...

Can A Pipe Be Too Large?

I think they can. I have a few large pipes, and I reach for them the least. Most often, I just don't have the 3 hours to smoke down my Brog XL. I feel like I end up either partially filling it or wasting tobacco. I think I'm most often smoking med to small bowls.

The Mentality (And Economics) of the Tobacco Shop Owner.

I'm getting the jist here. I buy all my tobacco online, but I really hate not being able to hold the pipe im buying in person.

The Mentality (And Economics) of the Tobacco Shop Owner.

I hear you rothnh. I've been doing most of my buying online. Sometimes I just want the atmosphere of the shop or the feel of a good pipe in the hand before I buy it. My wife has listened to this rant from me too much I think. Though she, at least, is supportive of my tobacco stockpiling.

The Mentality (And Economics) of the Tobacco Shop Owner.

Hey there folks. It has been a while since I was on the forums. Wife and I just moved into our first house, so I've been busy. I'm in a new area, and I am again burdened by the search for a local pipe shop. I lived in Tallahassee before this, and even though it is a decent sized place, all...
