    Georgia on my Mind

I'll be in Atlanta for a couple days followed by the Savannah-Statesboro area for the rest of our vacation. Can anyone recommend a shop to redeem my Father's Day credits? Or maybe even meet up for a smoke somewhere?

Hey Chris - I too am relatively new to pipe smoking; however I am really enjoying it now and am somewhat proficient in smoking my pipes...some things I wish people would've suggested to me... --try a few of english, virginia, and aromatics - those are the three broad categories which each have a...

    Peterson System Question

Ok, so that information in the ad is just incorrect, and any Peterson without system in the name is drilled like any other pipe? I think there are others, obviously from this ad on eBay, that think all Peterson's have the gravity trap system...Thanks! :puffy:

    Peterson System Question

For example this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Peterson-Killarney-80S-Pipe-New-2nd-Mouthpiece-AND-Tobacco-/251230075605?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7e7abad5&ssPageName=RSS:B:SHOP:US:101 shows pictures of the "system" with an 80S, which is not called a "system" pipe, is this ad just wrong, or...

    Peterson System Question

Ok thanks, it's just confusing, at smokingpipes.com for instance, they don't seem to use that nomenclature, simply Molly, Sherlock, etc. and the ability to sort by price or look at all the system pipes, and so unless it says "system" in the name, it's not a system pipe then (for example are...

    Peterson System Question

Could someone give me the hierarchy of the Peterson System pipes? Like is there a low, mid- and high grade? or just the regular ones and then the ones with spigots etc? I'm just trying to figure out the family of the system pipes, thanks!

    My Bargains, Restored...

Just thought I'd share a couple of my thrifty pipe purchases...got the Irish Seconds bulldog off of ebay for about 15 dollars, a Royal Comoys Canadian for 20 off of Craigslist, and found a leather two-pipe Decatur Industries pipe rack for 4 bucks at St. Vincent's thrift store this morning. Our...

    Whose Got a Nice Sandblast?

Ok, I realize all those guys have great blasts, I was thinking more like "Radice vs. Peterson vs. Savinelli" or something from a carver for under 250...or maybe I should've titled it "budget blasts"...lol

    Whose Got a Nice Sandblast?

Out of the major manufacturers, or bang for your buck artisan guys, whose got the best sandblast technique/finish? If I could I would buy a JT Cooke, but you know there's the problem of money and all... :puffy: Thanks!

    Recommend Some English Types...

Can you describe Balkans for me a little more, like how they differ from English, I've heard that a lot...thanks

    Recommend Some English Types...

Yeah, I didn't think the IF was too bad, I'm not saying that I don't like VAs, I think they're fine, but if my wife is going to let me keep smoking A pipe I can't come in smelling like I just smoked a camel, for some reason the heaviest englishes, which stink in the can and in the "room" don't...

    Recommend Some English Types...

So I think I figured out I'm really liking English tobaccos the best, I so far have really enjoyed GL Pease Odyssey and Samuel Gawith Squadron Leader, although I think there's a tad more flavor in the Odyssey...I've also really liked Ruins of Isangaard and I thought Irish Flake was good too...

    Stanwell Fans?

Ok, I don't know what "I'm over it" means, was just hoping someone might be able to say something along the lines of: "I own several Danish made Stanwells and I just bought two of the Italian ones, boy these new Italian ones really don't compare because the "X" isn't as nice as the old ones...
