    Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain is made by McClellands and comes in a tin that once opened has a plastic cap to go on like cat food. This tobacco was made for me. If your a Latakia fan this blend is for you. Opening the tin the tobacco smells wonderful and it looks terrific with the mix of redish brown and the...

    Group MEER purchase?

I am considering asking storient to pick ONE traditional Meer model shape pipe and offer it to this group at a really good price complete with case etc? My thought is that if there was just one model and perhaps a fairly large group of possible orders it would make it worth their while to run a...

    Lat bomb + Perique

Until I joined this forum I had never smoked flake tobacco or smoked tobacco with Perique or tobacco with high percentage of Lat. Now I have really developed a taste for Lat and Perique and I like flake tobacco. I have noticed though that most of the flake tobacco's seem to be Virginias (I'm not...

    Reforesting projects

Thank God for reforesting projects. Without them there would be no new pine trees. Without pine tree there would be no wooden matches. Without wooden match my pipe would stay unlit....that's all.

    The Verdict is in!

As some of your are aware I have spent a small fortune this year on trying new and different tobacco's to try and broaden my tobacco tastes. While I have found some I hate, some I like and will buy again, some that were ok but won't buy again, there is one that stands much higher on the like...

    TO HOT!

Ok its 32C or 89.6F (for my American friends). How do folks in the south stand these temps? Although I'm not a big fan of winter, you can always put on more clothes if your cold but when your to hot, you can only take off so many clothes before the neighbours get sick.

    NEW SMOKER'S...re: mild tobacco

Today I finally got around to trying a sample of "OTTER CREEK" from 4noggins that I have had for a few months. There have been several posts by new members / smokers looking for a mild but good tasting tobacco to break into the hobby. Well "OTTER CREEK" has a very nice room note (so no...

    Just like an old friend.

For the last month or so, I have been testing, trying, quite a few different blends in an effort to see what's out there and generally improve my tobacco experience. Well its 4am, quiet, dark, and very humid, we are soon to get a thunderstorm, so I decide to fill up a bowl of my old regular...

    Ashtray - cheap

Hi all; I'm sure you all have noticed pipe ashtrays are not cheap (approx $35.00). So I decided to make my own using a stick on cork from tobacco shop and a 8" camp plate with enamel coating. It works great and the enamel finish wipes clean easily. I have about $6.00 invested and I thought I...

    Clencher or holder

I was wondering who holds their pipe while smoking a bowl and who clenches in their mouth. I have noticed that I tend to hold about 90% of the time. What is kinda weird though, is I noticed that I also tend to smoke out the left side of my mouth mostly but hold with right hand. So while sitting...
