Removing massive cake
So picked up a handful of pipes to teach myself to both smoke and maintain. The layer of cake is nearly 1/4" in some of them! The chambers are to narrow for the pipe reamers I have, so wondering if anybody has some tips or warnings for removing it / managing it?- kingsmedic

Kaywoodie Signet (unsmoked)

Storage and rest questions.
I understand the need to rest a pipe after use to allow time for moisture to evaporate, and I have read the best place to store a pipe is on a rack with the stem pointing upwards. My question is given a day or so to rest, can a pipe then be stored in a semi airtight container? I am new to...- kingsmedic
