    Stirling Flake == Irish Flake?

    Well now I have to get Wallace Flake too! Thanks

    Stirling Flake == Irish Flake?

    Interesting. So do you know if Stirling Flake was already being produced contemporary to Irish Flake? Stirling Flake is now a Rattray's branded offering so we have a bit of a rabbit hole of course. Such is the current state of tobacco offerings as everything is consolidating into a few...

    Stirling Flake == Irish Flake?

    Irish Flake used to be one of my staple tobaccos back around '05 to '15 or so. I stopped smoking pipes for a long time and have in the past year happily gotten back into it. I tried the Irish Flake of today, and it seemed "off". I don't have the most sophisticated palate for pipe tobaccos...

    ***What Are You Smoking, May 2024?***

    I still have some of that along with an unopened tub! I do miss it. I'm a little disappointed with it in the aged form though. Understandably, aging took away a lot of the spicy bite it had when fresh, which was my favorite aspect of it. It's still a pretty nice smoke though.

    Welcome! I just returned from a trip to your fine country a couple weeks ago (Stockholm). As to an aromatic tobacco, the only one I found I enjoy (a lot) is Homeward Bound (Two Friends Tobacco), but I'm not sure that's considered an aromatic, maybe more like a crossover. That one I would...

    ***What Are You Smoking, April 2024?***

    I've recently rekindled my love affair with Semois finishing up a brick of Reserve du Patron (Tabac Manil). I just received my brick of Le Petit Robin, and I'm enjoying it in a cob with a lager on the side currently.

    Two Friends -- Homeward Bound -- Anyone tried it?

    I don't normally smoke aromatics, but this blend strikes me more as a tobacco blend with an aromatic quality (kinda like I see Edward G Robinson or Father Dempsey). I haven't seen any reviews on TobaccoReviews, though Jiminks has given it 4 stars on this site. Has anyone tried this and have...

    ***What Are You Smoking, March 2024?***

    Edward G Robinson's Pipe Blend in a Peterson Spigot. This pipe used to be green, but over a few years on my back porch, sun exposure changed the coloration, and I like it better this way. When I first noticed the effect of having left it out in the sun for days, I simply rotated it over time...

    Ah, that's it! I remember now the first one I got was Heinrich's Curly Block

    Thanks! Looks like I should go ahead and cut off a little of the STG version as well.
