School Me On Clay Pipes
Another pro is that they are good for Lakeland aromatics that would ghost your briars. My clays were purchased on ebay from fory63. They are made in Germany with 200 year old molds that have relief designs on the bowl. Haven't seen them for sale in a long time.- antipodesman

That is an interesting story "piperl". One of my favorite writers and a pipe smoker too was Conan Doyle who served in the Boer War in a field hospital and then wrote a history of the Boer War. He was in fact knighted for his writing about the Boer War and not his stories about Sherlock Holmes.- antipodesman

I have been trying a number of latikia blends from G L Pease lately. My preferences are quite narrow. I look for a mellow blend without harshness or sharpness and prefer a bit of sweetness such as a hint of vanilla. Lagonda comes closest to my preference.
