    Unpopular Opinion - I Dont Like 1-Q

I totally agree with your assessment that 1-Q has an 'artificial' taste. But I'm not a fan of aromatics in general

What would you pick up in Dublin?

Update: I visited both the James Fox and Peterson shops in Dublin and decided on picking up this Peterson Aran 05 from the latter. Though they had some fine pipes, this one, with it's rusticated finish really spoke to me. Just had an inaugural bowl of Irish Flake in it. Smokes like a champ. I...

What would you pick up in Dublin?

Thanks all for the input and bon voyage wishes. @hoosierpipeguy - I was in the west coast of Ireland last summer and visited a handful of shops that carry pipe tobacco hoping to find Germain's and Gawith blends. No one had them in stock and as a matter of fact a very nice woman who was working...

What would you pick up in Dublin?

@alaskanpiper - I appreciate your suggestion and have considered just buying a new Peterson online but it's really about having a memento from my trip. That being said, I'm hoping that I can find a pipe (or two) that we might not have readily available in the states as you said. I did pick up...

What would you pick up in Dublin?

@alaskanpiper Touche! I'm considering the Peterson 05. Has sort of a Dublin shape.

What would you pick up in Dublin?

I'm headed to Ireland next month and plan to visit the James Fox and Peterson shops with the intent of picking up a new pipe to commemorate the trip. What would you buy if you were in Dublin?

    What is your Strongest?

Bold Kentucky and Old Joe Krantz are up there with the strongest I've ever had. Great stuff!

Best Pipe Shop In Your Area

In New York City I like Barclay Rex. They have a decent selection of pipes (including estates) and tobacco and I recently picked up bags of Stonehaven and Penzance there.

Mac baren hh old dark fired

I'm right there with Paul the Scandanavian. He mentioned ODF and Revor Plug. Both are in my top 5. Sublime smokes.

Standard Tobacco Enters Into Agreement With STG

@hawky454 - A man can dream. I do enjoy my Revor Plug sparingly as well and substitute McConnell's Lat Flake every other time I have the urge to smoke the great plug. I was lucky to find some Velvan Plug on a trip to Ireland last summer and picked up a few pouches. Haven't yet tried it and am in...

Standard Tobacco Enters Into Agreement With STG

Does this news mean that there's a chance that Revor Plug might become available here in the states?

    Is this Peterson drilled correctly?

    Olkofri, thanks for sharing!

    Is this Peterson drilled correctly?

UPDATE: My concern about the drilling was for naught. I just finished an inaugural bowl of Irish Flake and the pipe performed exceptionally well. It smoked cool and dry all the way down to the bottom with only the very slightest bit of gurgle towards the end. Hands down one of the best smoking...

    Is this Peterson drilled correctly?

Olkofri, based on my few dealings with TP, I'm convinced they are above board and would not try to pass a used pipe off as new. Their aim is to provide the best service possible in order to win over customers and do so with integrity.

    Is this Peterson drilled correctly?

bent1 - what a great q-tip tip. Thanks for that! sasquatch, I appreciate your input. The pipe draws just fine with no whistle. In an update - I spoke with Ben, one of the owners of TobaccoPipes and he offered to let me try out the pipe before making a decision to keep it! I've never...
