Do I need to remove Stain from new Peterson

I think I owe you an update after a year. This pipe mellowed out and smokes just fine now. In fact, it is one of my favorites, but because I really like the shape, not because of the quality.

    Finally a Sina Bulldog

Is the stem that thick or is the bowl smallish? I would love to see it next to another pipe just to get my head around the proportions.

    Sherlock

I can not wait for this. This played against Martin Freeman's very human Watson is just magic.

Dunhill Squat Straight Bulldog Amber DR

One of the finest... No, to my eye and taste.. THE finest pipe I have seen. That is family heirloom stuff. A 100 years from now people will wonder about the person who first owned a pipe like that. I hope you post more pics of it once you receive it.

    New Daddy

Ha,Ha, Ha ....No Sleep for you! Congratulations! (from some random, internet guy you don't know) My kids are 5 and 7. I can tell you being a Dad is fantastic from the start, but it seems to get better and better. ( of course, I am not sure what happens after 7)

Would you advise your children to smoke a pipe?

This discussion is f'ed up by the title. No one would advise children to smoke! Would you even advise an adult to smoke a pipe? Would I advise my children to smoke when they are adults? I would advise them not to. But, I sure the hell didn't ask my dad if he would advise me to smoke...

What is the best way to age Dunhill Flake?

I am planning to order a few tins of Dunhill Flake to age for some years. I have been reading about tobacco aging, aerobic and anaerobic, and I don't think I understand what is best. Would you recommend leaving the tins sealed or jarring them to introduce oxygen? Thanks.

Do I need to remove Stain from new Peterson

I am going to do that! Hell ya! But in the meantime, I have been smoking very small bowls, maybe 1/4 full just so I could finish them. It is starting to behave.

    Best tobacco for beginners?

Ok, Frog Morton Cellar. That is a good one, easy to get your head around.

    Best tobacco for beginners?

I agree, especially if you are like cigars. I would get one aromatic suggested, an English blend, and a Va-Per or Virginia. Everyone's taste is different, but I find aromatics way to tasteless, I mean subtle. Don't be afraid to try English blends. They taste good, even if they don't smell...

Do I need to remove Stain from new Peterson

This pipe is killing me. Anything I smoke in it immediately give me tongue bite. I mean it is unreal; the first little puff it starts. I have smoked maybe 10 bowls in it and I dread smoking the next. But, It was kind of spendy (by my standards) so I will smoke another tomorrow.

    Favorite Bourbon Whiskey?

So many good bourbons!!! I have to say, Jim Beam Black Label Rocks. I usally drink a glas or 2 of the $20-30/750ml stuff, then switch to Black label. ( which around here is $36 for 1.75) So I save like $2, whic I buy more tabbacco wity. Damn, I think I need more. Hell Ya
