How Do Gawith Ropes Change With Age?

I assume there is some degree of mellowing but how much and how do different lengths of time affect these ropes?

    Gawith, Hoggarth Twists

Quick question for you all. I'm looking at tr.com and see that both the sweet maple twist and rum twist state they are both the same base tobacco as Black and Brown Irish X. But if you look at the leaf for each, Maple says it's VA and Rum says Burley/Kentucky. Which is it?

How Will FDA Regs Affect Ebay Estate Sales?

I don't think I've seen any mention of how these new regulations will impact estate pipe sales on ebay. Has anyone heard any specifics?

    The Endurance Of Semois

Today I finally hit that big shiny "buy now" button we all love to abuse and am expecting Fleur de Semois. I've been pretty excited to try this special burley and have read numerous reviews and stories. My question to the group is since this is produced by one man (well man and his wife?), will...

I know I've seen reference to this question somewhere in these forums but search is being a curmudgeon today. Forget Penzance and Stonehaven, where the heck are GH Dark Birdseye and Happy Brown Bogie? I tend to check several times a week on various retailer sites and they seem to be simply MIA...

Looking for Something Similar to Black Shag and Dark Star

Both tobaccos mentioned in the title really speak to me. Dark Star is perfect for slowly nursing and getting lost in while Black Shag is (to me) a more convenient version of DS, better suited for quicker load and enjoy time. While not quite the same they are definitely cousins and I was hoping...

Smoking to the bottom of the bowl

Prompted by the "how many lights" thread, I want to pose a question to the group. Often we see "smoked to the bottom to a fine white ash" in 98.7% of TR reviews. I'll address the elephant in the room here and say with confidence this is rarely the case for me. Does it happen, yes, sometimes, but...
