Well, I'm awake, and smoking year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. Just fed Molly Danger, and after she eats, I'll feed Tomato the Brave, who had not been here for hours. Had to lock Sam the Scamp in the bathroom so she wouldn't create any drama over wet food.

Had my b-day smoke in my b-day pipe (maiden voyage), Peterson Flake in a Peterson Irish Harp 80s sandblasted bent bulldog. Very low-key b-day, but that's my style anyway. Plus, it's Pesach, so I'm enjoying some nice smoked whitefish and homemade matzah tonight. Anyway, good smoke today. 8.3/10

Bird report: House finch, California scrub-jay, Mountain chickadee, California towhee, Dark-eyed junco (as soon as it cooled down, they came back), American crow, Common raven, White-crowned sparrow, and a yellow house finch which, according to the local octogenarian ornithologist (how's that for alliteration?), is a recessive gene in the species that causes the head and breast to come out yellow in lieu of the usual red. Seen a lot of them this year so far.

@PaulRVA thank you for the b-day wishes! I'll try to keep the bird reports coming, but they could go on strike at a moment's notice...

@Sobrbiker ditto, and additionally, thanks for the great equine photos! Wifey compliments their appearance and demeanor...they look like Clydesdales compared to our 15 hand mustang! 🐎

Passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2015 Mac Baren Virginia #1 in a straight black 1925 Dunhill patent shell Canadian 33 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Been sending a few photos and videos to a friend so she can post them in hopes of finding homes for the scampers. Anybody here want one? :)

Solani Aged Burley Flake in a Peterson System Standard B42. The tin I'm currently working through is five years old, and I don't know if the additional aging is making this better than usual, or the fact that I dried it to the absolute perfect level and then packed it really well. I've been wondering if I'm enjoying tobacco with some age on it more than fresh tobacco in general, or if I'm just getting better at smoking a pipe.
