Anyone know what this is? Was told it breaks in meerschaum pipes

I have used coloring bowls in the past and they did aid in coloring the bowl and kept the bowl cake free. It was a fun experiment and it worked well, but I sold all my coloring bowls many years ago and have not smoked a meer for many a year.

    Peter Stokkebye New Packaging

I have only purchased PSLNF in the 1 1/2 pound boxes. I hope they have not changed the way they ship that out.

Suggestions? Need a good hot tea.

I only smoke VaPers (McClelland 2015) and about the only tea I drink is a good Keemun. I have never liked the bergomot that they add to Earl Grey. But my suggestion is to go out on a limb and try different things. You may find something that nobody ever thought of and be very happy with it.

What Music Are You Listening To? - August 2016

The past couple of days I have been listening to my Humphrey Lyttleton CDs. Some very good music.

What Did Your Fathers and Grandfathers Smoke?

When my father smoked he smoked Chesterfield cigarettes. His father smoked a pipe and although he quit long before I was born, dad told me he smoked Cutty tobacco. My mom's father used tobacco in many ways. He dipped Old Square snuff, smoked those little Parodi cigars and when he smoked a...

    Do You Save Coins?

Everyday I put my change into a tzedakah box that I own and when it is full I cash in the coins and then give that amount to charity. I have never missed that change and I will go out of my way to not use change for any purchase.

    Pipes and fountain pens

I also love fountain pens. I carry 3 fountain pens every day (along with a ball point should anyone need to borrow a pen... nobody uses my fountain pens). I use the fountain pens to write everything from notes to journals to letters (I am one of the last letter writers in the world). I love...

    Falcons and such

I have a couple of Falcons that I smoke on occasion. When I began smoking back in 1970 the Falcon was an inexpensive working man's pipe. Now they seem to be a bit pricey for what they deliver, but they are still a decent pipe. I also have a metal Quiet Comrade pipe that is interesting. It is...

    Recommendations for a dress pipe

I smoke my cob no matter what I am wearing. I have gone to functions in a black suit that looked for all the world like a tux, worn 3 piece suits, dress trousers and sport jackets, and my cob is with me. It is part and parcel of the outfit. The hell with convention. I am not out to impress...

At what age did you pick up a pipe?

I just remember dates for some reason. That first bowl made such an impression on me I knew that I was going to be sticking with the pipe for a long time. To get even more granular... it was a Thursday and I lit the first bowl at 7:15 in the evening in my dorm room. Other dates that stick in...

I picked up the pipe on September 17, 1970 at the ripe old age of 18.

Words and Phrases You’ve Come to Hate

I work as a help desk tech. 90% of my work is dealing with emails. I have come to dislike the word "issue" when a more suitable would like difficulty or problem could be used. Issue for the most part is something that is sent forth or spewed out as in smoke and lava issue from Mt. Etna...

    Canes & Walking Sticks

I also walk with a cane, not so much because of a bad leg but because most of the meds I take can upset my balance. My cane is more for keeping me upright instead of keeping me mobile. Here is a link to the cane I use the most. http://www.fashionablecanes.com/80901.html

    Paul's Pipes & Dagner Brand

I picked up a Dagner designed Missouri Meerschaum pipe and it has become my favorite pipe. Although I have always gravitated to longer Lumberjacks and Canadian pipes, this little Dagner is a dream. The shorter stem allows me to clench the pipe all day and the flat bottom on it means I can set...

    Your First Blend

Way back in 1970 when I began smoking a pipe, I picked up a large tin of Middleton's Cherry and smoked that until it was gone. I then went in search of something better so I ended up going through all of the many drug store blends available at that time. I tried SWR, Half and Half, Carter...
