    PAD is real.

Europe is bad for the acquisitive. Beautiful pipes everywhere. For four euros, I couldn't resist this little Cliper briar. Doesn't really look smoked, just the one little char mark. If anyone is in Barcelona, check out the Saturday antiques market just outside the aquarium. There's a guy who...

I'm a newbie and was wondering how many bowls a day do you smoke?

A couple times per week. It's an intentional limitation, since I love it so much.

The Cutty Shape is Starting to Grow on Me

I love my cutty. It has turned into a great smoker for me. Gets a bit hot due to thin walls, but the foot gives it a great feel in the hand. Definitely a more old school, antique aesthetic, but I like that.

How do YOU carry your pipe, tobacco and gear?

How do YOU carry your pipe, tobacco and gear?

Unsmoked Estates: how rare are they?

fishnbanjo: Algerian briar? Cool! I'd love to know the origins. The only clue is the stamping: Vielle Bruyere Extra, which just means extra old briar. No brand. It is likely just an inexpensive drugstore pipe, but finding something so old and yet unused feels like a treasure. I'm gonna shine it...

Unsmoked Estates: how rare are they?

Took the cutty out for a test run tonight, smokes beautifully, very cool. Surprisingly good for a pipe with no cake. Keeper!

Unsmoked Estates: how rare are they?

@gphenry: Thanks, I will give that one a listen later tonight! @huntertrw: I'd love to know the story behind it! How does a pipe made 60 odd years ago go unsmoked all this time? Who did it belong to? Almost seems a shame to start now... but as you say, pipes are made to be smoked. Kinda makes me...

Unsmoked Estates: how rare are they?

Hey all, long time lurker first time poster. One of my favourite hobbies is checking out flea markets. Here in France they're pretty impressive. I'm always hunting for pipes. Anyway, I stumbled across a handful of unsmoked pipes at the back of a dusty shop. A couple of briars and a meerschaum...
