Best City for a Pipe Smoker

I’m in Kentucky. What shops in Louisville are you referring to? In Lexington we have Schwabs Pipes & Tobaccos and Jake’s Cigar Bar. Although a bourbon and cigar establishment, Jake’s allows pipe smoking.

    US Based Pipe Repairman?

Very nice to know, thanks for the update. Ric did work for me on some pipes, a decade or more ago, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Cheers!

Occasional pipe smoking with canker sores

Come to the pipe forum website to read and learn about pipes and instead leave with a degree in herpes treatment 😂 If I have a sore of sorts that shows up in my mouth, I avoid smoking until the initial flare up settles down. Just not an enjoyable experience in my personal experience. Good luck!

Briarville Ric, brother-in-law of the late Joe Case, does pipe repairs and restorations. https://briarville.com/

    Whats Your Lawn-Mowing Blend?

I pack two Missouri Meerschaum Legend cobs with my local B&M Vanilla Pie aromatic blend. Doesn’t taste just fabulous but does beat the hell out of the oil, gas, and engine smells. I ride mow and the yard is big enough that I can get two full bowls in. Also, I use a golf tee to tamp as I don’t...

Enjoying some CC 2015 in my Nuttens Bing tonight. Classic smoke!

What's Your Favorite Pipe for Backpacking or Camping?

MM Country Gentlemen or MM Country Towne Cobbler. No matter what, in the backcountry, I always take a cob, no briars.

    Tobaccoreviews.com

Similar to many of you, I miss the old platform. The new update is not as user friendly when wanting to see all the brand names. Although petty, I don't like scrolling through all the pages to get the brand I'm looking for.

Archive Of The Old Pipes And Tobacco Magazine?

Does anyone know why the P&T magazine didn't try to sell out to someone else before going completely under and stopping production? I want to say they were part of a larger magazine franchise group but I may be mistaken with that information.

Are You Purchasing More Or Less Tobacco Currently?

I've slowed down. I have only been doing replacement purchasing (i.e., when I finish a tin I replace it. If it was good, or a regular smoke, I replace it with two tins). Hope everyone is well!

    What's Your White Whale?

Kingfisher. It’s my bucket list tobacco. Never got to try it but would like to before my days are done.

Show Us Your Christmas Gifts 2018

I purchase a Savinelli Oceana rusticated bulldog for myself this year. Great smoker and beautiful pipe. Cheers!

    whats your store

Similar to others, Smokingpipes.com is my most frequented online retailer, however, tobaccopipes.com is also a great source for hard to find tobaccos and great deals. They also have upstanding customer service.

    Keeping car from smelling

Windows cracked and a little Febreeze to help satisfy any passengers typically does the trick.

    Broken Pipe - Chip Kushner

This is completely shocking news. I never met Chip but he seemed like an individual I would have enjoyed talking with over a bowl of good tobacco. Rest In Peace pipe pal.
