    Cube cut recommendations

Wow, I appreciate all the recommendations. It looks like it’s going to be a little bit of a shopping spree...as much as the wallet allows. I’ll definitely make sure to report back so that you guys know how it’s all worked out.

    How Old Is Everyone

35 here, started piping a few years back on a deployment overseas. Any military guys out there can attest that deployments give you plenty of time to start new hobbies. Haven’t looked back since

Poked a hole through my cob

As great as MM are, the biggest issue with mass production can be a short site in quality. I will say though with all the MM I’ve had, several have had soft bottoms, it’s the tough part with Cobs. But once you’ve poked through one, you learn to be gentle, they last forever and are high quality...

    Cube cut recommendations

It’s been a while since I’ve ventured away from the favorites that I continue to smoke (except FMOT...need to save what’s left for special occasions). I want to try the cube cuts, and looking for a starring recommendation. I know the first question to come will be what are you likes? Honestly...

    Basks Tobaccos?

@bouwser, I appreciate the recommendation. Worth a shot. Thanks for the info. @okiepiper, definitely making the most of SoCal this time as compared to my first stint here from 04-08. Family loves it and as much as the buildings and people change the weather and the atmosphere doesn’t. Thanks for...

    Basks Tobaccos?

Hi guys, I know it’s been a while since I last posted, but been dealing with a long awaited move from NY to CA, and during that time and the months leading up to it a lot of stuff has gone down. Namely, the McClelland Company is no more. Now it’s not that I didn’t know it was coming, I guess you...

Frog Morton on the Town scent??

Ok, thanks TexMex. are there any other tobaccos that use Basma? Never really heard of it before, It really adds a scent and flavor that makes things mellow out quite well.

Frog Morton on the Town scent??

I just recently received a tin of Frog Morton on the Town from a very generous fellow member and had a chance to finally try it. Wow! An amazing and enjoyable smoke, might have found a new fave. One question though, and it may be just me but I almost get an undertone of a great incense like...

Painting a cob - advice please.

I know MM puts a plaster type glaze on theirs in order to give It that meerschaum type look, but I think you'd lose the cob feel if you changed it up. another thing to consider is due to how porous they are, it may take a lot to give it a look your happy with and potentially ruin the cob.

What would you like to try?

R, just wanted to let you know I did receive my package and I very much intend to try the tobacco tomorrow! It's smells awesome and I can't wait to be able to pass on the generosity myself, thanks again!
