Doing some research on those meerschaum pipes.. I have a sherlock holmes style calabash.. but its not pure meerschaum only the insert is.... how strong would a pure block meerschaum be .. say an apple of billiard style pipe??? I Need Some Meerschaum Selection Advice
I also agree on the smooth... The lattice looks really nice.. but the smooth will develope a very classy look as you smoke it... I personally own a smooth and have had it for 35 years and it just looks great.- gothicmace

Sweetest Backy in the Universe...
Hearth & Home Vischer Ferry.... I like the Molto... and also St.Georges Blend by Sutliff... but the H&H Vischer Ferry wins it hands down... I would give two thumbs up on the Savinelli... I have several... I get the soft bits.. which I love.. and makes the stem just fine.. and I don't have the maint problems of my valc stems....
