Nope but I have found LF to be very inconsistent, like most G&H products, regarding the amount of lakeland essence present. I've had two pouches and one was lovely whilst the other was just pure essence and for me unsmokeable. I suppose it was one charms of hamemade products- drennan

You need to look for a 'civette'. It's a tabac that specialises in selling cigars, they carry pipe tobacco too but it's often less than a dozen blends but it's something.- drennan

Burley Negatives; Why Not Burley?
I'm not a burley fan boy. I'm prone to finding it harsh and rough in the mouth and I'm not a particularly keen on taste either. I avoid straight burleys and tend to avoid burley heavy blends, having said that one of my favourite blends is Germain's Rich Dark Flake a topped VaBur so go figure.- drennan

Flyfishing: Check In
I live in Normandy and do alot of fly fishing on the local chalk streams the Risle, Iton and Arve. It tends to be very classical fly fishing so think upstream dries as opposed to 2 inch zoo cougars. Smoking problems
3P's is a virginia & burley mix there is no Latakia in it. I find that smoking alot of burley blends leaves me with a rough feeling throat perhaps it's the same for you? If your tongue was burning during smoking it could be as simple as you're smoking too fast- drennan

Rum Flake Perfume or Soap Scent - - Not So Much
I've found that with G&H the cross contamination varies from batch to batch, it does frustrate me. The first pouch of louisiana flake I bought was a delightful VaPer with hints of chocolate whilst the second tasted of nothing but tonquin.- drennan

Online tobacconist vs local tobacconist
In France I have no option but to vist the local tobacconist as all internet sales of tobacco are prohibited, it's even illegal to post tobacco! It sucks as choice is incredibly limited. How Are Stanwell Pipes?
I bought two unsmoked Danish made estate stanwells. One smoked wet as heck until it had a good cake, it also had a small fissue in the bowl that needed pipe mudding but now it's an ok smoker, the second is a good smoker.- drennan

Tobacco first love
The first bowl that blew my mind was SG Balkan Flake, I got a lovely creamy sweetness but unfortunately the rest of the tin wasn't anywhere near as good as that first bowl however it was only my second ever tin tobacco and SG flakes aren't easy. What's a Morta with you?
I've had morta pipes that smoke fairly neutrally from the word go and I've had pipes that have added a strong flavour but it does seem to disappear. If a pipe adds a flavour then in my experience it slips nicely into the background with English blends where as it's very noticable with Virginia...- drennan
