It took me about 5 years. Suddenly I found myself smoking almost exclusively straight VA. It’s been since Sept 2023, I rarely go off straight VA. That’s a routine with me. That’s when I rotate to something completely different. Like from a VaPer I might go burley, or cigar blend, maybe Lakelands. You’ll find your Escudo love again, just give it a break.- alexnc

For red Virginia, I love Sutliff 515 and their Red Virginia Ribbon. Neither are nearly as strong as Irish Flake, I don’t recall picking up Red Virginia in IF. Mac Baren Pure Virginia leads with a red Virginia imo. I also love Union Square and do pick up Red Va in the mix. I second the Edisto rec...- alexnc

Grandpa gave me some old pipes
My wife’s grandpa left her a few pipes. In 2015 I cleaned them up as best I could - then smoked my first bowl ever. Those pipes are worth something priceless. Clan Cob Unite!
I own 10 or so cobs and like them. I smoke briar most of the time, but anytime I’m doing something where I need my hands I grab a cob. Sometimes just because the mood strikes me, I like them.
