A warm welcome! I am also new.
That doesn’t matter. Plenty of native English speakers haven’t yet mastered their own language, never mind a second :) Just keep on typing :)
We hadn’t watched a film for a couple of months and tried this last night. Gave up after 30 mins. It seemed well made but didn’t capture us enough to devote the remaining 3 hours.
That‘s the great thing about ageing, you take greater control over how you spend your valuable free time.
Killarney.
Seems to have some caramel flavour. It’s only my 3rd tobacco, but it’s added another interesting dimension. I think the discovery side of this hobby is a big part of the attraction And I don’t plan to rush it.
I bought a pipe, found great information on this site and people seemed friendly. So I joined. Didn’t know that the forum had been updated.
Once life gets slightly less busy, I will be more active :)
A good conversation for me is suddenly realising that a relatively long time has passed, as an enjoyable time.
But the deal clincher is being able to say, with a smile, “we started on subject X, how did we get to subject Z, and did we even visit Y?”
I came close to ordering either a Peterson or Kiribi Kubuto (sp?) but ended up with a cheap bic mega lighter twin pack. I seldom smoke outside of home and the bic seems to work just fine.
I can still see how a smart lighter would be an attractive addition to the hobby.
Jaytex969, I also have an M39 “Ukko-Pekka”. Probably my favourite piece, mainly because of the history. I think we need to take this one in PM, so as not to bore the others with talk of serial numbers, arsenals and stamped markings :)
Went out to smoke a bowl of mac baren classic and returned to such a warm welcome. Thank You!
Elric, I am smoking Mac baren classic and Amphora full. Probably not the best but am enjoying them.
My wife has bought two surprise tins from a specialist tobacco shop. One will be opened on...
New to smoking pipes.
Am getting to know my new friends. 1 Peterson 9mm. 1 Corn Cob.
Whilst trawling the internet for answers to my many questions, this site comes up again and again. There’s no alternative but to join :)
