Happy Friday everyone. A rather cold morning trying to kick start the heart with The Beast in a Savinelli and some hot coffee.
We’ll, you introduced me to this blend after I kept passing over it time and again. It is an excellent blend that I would’ve overlooked had it not been for your advice.
Definitely a keeper!

GH Dark Shag (thanks Halfdan) in a Kaywoodie medium billiard. Apparently this blend is very similar to Stonehaven but not having tried it I can’t say for sure, it’s tasty and has quite a punch though, definitely not a all day smoke.

Im smoking some Nyala in the Rovera. It was an estate and someone coated the bowl with something strange. The pipe wouldnt dry out after smoking. There would be this cold dam tar feel for day after smoking but no weird smell or taste. So I sanded it out this morning.
Another day, another pipe, another office headache! Today I am taking my 1880 Xmas 'Cutty' out for a walk. I have often wondered who got this as a Xmas gift in 1880 as they obviously liked it enough to smoke the hell out of it and then add a silver reinforcing cap to the rim. I am plugging away with the usual Murry's Warrior Plug from a sadly diminishing stash. Why they stopped making this stuff is beyond me.
