Hey, firstly I used a lighter to make a tobacco burn, now I just discovered the simple matches are very unique for me personally to light up tobacco. What about you?

I prefer matches. A nice wood match on a windless day.
I only use matches. I've tried lighters, both for cigars and pipes, and I don't care for them.
Nah, that's just more leftovers to throw away, I use a Beattie.
Yes, when the weather cooperates. A nice sulfur-free cigar match in particular provides a soft-flame and doesn't impart any weird taste to the tobacco. They are also easy to manipulate and to draw the flame to the tobacco.
Always matches. I haven't used a lighter all year. I don't smoke everyday, so if it's windy, I pass on the pipe. If I was an everyday smoker, I would definitely use one of my lighters.
I like matches for the ritual, the sound, and the smell. I like the soft flame and the degree of control. I like my lighters as gadgets, but I usually use matches to smoke.
Bic, Zippo, matches, stick, from a campfire, just something to ignite the damned tobacco. I keep my pipe as simple as possible.

Matches offer the lowest heat in flame out of all.

LOL, my Beatties deliver a flame like Godzilla! So yes, all in adjusting to what is in front of you. I love a good wooden match but smoke in the house almost never, so it’s lighters for me.
