This brings up a question of mine. What year was Escudo re-introduced? And would that be considered a new blend? The same goes to blends like St. Bruno, Bengal Slices and Warhorse and all of the Dunhill blends. All of these blends were created way before 2007 but most of them are re-introductory blends. Anyone know how these will be regulated?

I do not know, but maybe a trademark will allow for most to be grandfathered; at least I hope? Those without trademarked rights might be another story? Again, I'm not sure?

Markthelad, I fear that they will be considered "new blends". but we'll see.
BTW. Ya got a damn good list there! Your tastes seem similar to mine. I have not tried BB1938 but I'll have to add that to my wish list. It's an English, right?

I haven't had to worry about upper case "N" Nazis in my lifetime.
I've not found any recent blends that I'm wedded to. Perhaps the new Bengal Slices. If War Horse ever shows its nose I'll give it a try. It has promise. Nothing worth losing sleep over though as long as 3Star Blue is available. If not, I'm sure there will be a blend or two available.

Yup, BB1938 is definitely a favorite. It's described as having 3 different types of virginia's, some type of flake and some latakia in it, but I detect something else, it's pleasant, but I can't seem to pin it down. It may also be the interplay of all those virginia's.

Reissue Description: A blend of Virginias and Latakia made famous generations ago for its smooth-smoking qualities, Baby's Bottom was at the top of the list for mixtures we wanted to see re-introduced. Now, thanks to the folks at British American Tobacco and General Cigar, it has returned. Old Dunhill Store Description: A smooth medium strength mixture which consists mainly of Red Virginia, but also has bronze and lemon Virginia, some flake and a good helping of Latakia.
