Okay, so it does go all the way through. I was hoping it was surface only. Definitely lube up that tenon.

Lube up the tenon and flood the crack with CA to stabilize and seal it. "It's a knot" - "Well if it's a not, what is it?"

Ok, so I lubed up the tenon with beeswax and thought, what the heck, I’ll smoke it. No issues so far. Am considering the CA glue but will leave it as is for now.
