So... I lost this cheapo pipe tool five years ago while smoking a pork butt overnight in the back yard.( I've mentioned several times on these forums of my habit of losing accessories)

Anyway, yesterday I was dumping some old dirt out of a planter that i use for growing hot peppers and this was mixed in with the spent soil.

Dammit, why can't the fancy stuff i lose be found?

One time I was turning compost at a restaurant/garden place I worked at, and my coworker was there talking to me and smoking and she goes “hold on hold on” and dives into the compost to fish out - ta da! A ring that she thought she’d lost a year prior. Crazy stuff, the earth taketh and the earth giveth backeth. Themth the breakth!
