WV Miner Photo Challenge

This photo popped up on Facebook of an undated coal miner enjoying a pipe and the radio after a long days work.

Check out those lace up rubber boots.

Anyone have an idea of what brand pipe this is?

With no emblem visible its near impossible to say, but the amount of money WV coal miners made I'd guess its not an expensive one. I'd guess its an American made pipe, so could be a WDC, KB&B, Wally Frank, or Linkman. But my guess is its a National Briar Pipe Company as they were notorious for not putting emblems on anything.

My guess was a Linkman based on the shape but I’m not the expert!

Who knows but I do "know" the guy is listening to the Grand Old Opry on the radio.

Let's see 2 bedroom house, indoor water closet, it sites on a postage stamp lot, front door faces east for morning sun, pipe... hmm not a clue. .
