To me personally I think you could get the same thing with Lunchtime Blues, Virginia Gentleman, or Repose all by CD. I think CD should come up with a blend called Virtual Wait.
I assume it’s difficult to say one blend is just like another from another era.
Like or hate each small batch we have seen, it is my impression that small batches take advantage of a rare and limited amount of some key ingredient. Leading to hoarding of tins upon release
But Certainly the repackaging of a blend is nothing new. And sometimes it’s hidden better than others. For example Sillem’s and Aylesbury.

Another interesting one in Europe/Germany is HH Rustica by Mac baren or Dr Jensen by Mac Baren with a house blend label at your local tobacconist. Well, I guess you can’t do this much longer with Mac baren products!
Totally new or reblended, the work that blenders undertake to make a new blend is tremendous. And it seems that doing it well takes skill and experience and some level of divinity! With changing inventories due to the variability associated with farming an annual crop, reblending old blends is a necessity.
I enjoy the process of learning and there is no end to learning in this hobby. Finding blends, smoking them in different pipes, alongside different drinks, in different seasons, in different moods, makes pipe smoking fantastic.
