Wouldn't it be just firstrate; if there were more pipe smoking social clubs?

I've been imagining what it would be like... if each neighborhood had a tidy little Cigar and Pipe Smoking Social Club tucked somewhere within it! There's one about 20 minutes from me but... . I just think it'd be awesome to have the faith that there's a place I can go to smoke like a chimney and not hear any shit from non-smokers, with all the guys, where a limited bit of good food and drink (alcoholic or non) is available to partake in, and debate about religion, politics (you know, all the things people are touchy about). And I'm leaning towards... NO WOMEN ALLOWED except to serve! KINDA LIKE HOOTERS LOL. Any of you fellas have a place like this near you... or dream of one?

I have one, it started up a few months ago. Once a month, but still a good time. We pay and all the money goes to the club to buy tobaccos for sampling.

i would say.... no women unless they smoke a pipe or cigar.
it is my contention that the more we drift away from cigars and pipes the more uncivil we get.

I go to the Masonic Lodge next to me. Can't drink but hell a good cup of coffee is just as well. When I can really get away for a few hours I have the B&M about 20 min away. I meet up with PApipeguy and hangout and BS for a bit with the rest of the regulars there. Now if i could find the time that would be great!

I'm hoping to start up a club of sorts in my local area. The idea I have are that dues go towards two things, a monthly pipe to be raffled off, and then tobacco samplings, or something of the sort. But the club would only be accessible to those smoking pipes.
Now, on a different note, my ultimate goal is to start a cigar and pipe lounge and bar. Alcohol would be present as well as a few other things of interest for cigar and pipe smokers. No coffin nail smokers would be allowed and I have some ideas around sponsoring golf tourneys and some other community related ideas.

It would be with ideas like these.. that perhaps the popularity of pipe smoking could get a jolt for sure, bootlegbonvivant! But... what's a, "coffin nail smoker"? I think have an idea taking into account the context you used it in but... LOL.

Sadly, although Vancouver sports a pretty well known pipe-club, our antiquated laws don't allow for indoor smoking...they meet on a patio at a local watering-hole that found a loophole in the anti-laws by installing an airlock between the bar and the deck...
