Man do I hate the Waiting process. You know greatness wool arrive but the wait is a killer. Her are some Ferndowns I am waiting on. It will be two more weeks before Les works on them again and will be two at a time.

Only trouble, it will be hard to top those pipes for smoking, whatever else you may buy or commission in the future. Looking good.

I have always loved Ferndown pipes but was never smart enough to hang on to them. Les turned 68 the other day and I want to make sure I get all the pipes I can from him before he and Dolly retire. I have a few more years to accomplish this.

A watched pot never boils.
Just forget about them and go about your business, before you know it those things will be at your doorstep.

Yep. Just excited about them. Goal is to have a 7 day set of bent bulldogs from him as well as a 7 day set of bent billiards also. My favorite shapes.

Things are getting better. Life takes time, but at the point where I can spare a bit of cash each month over the next year to purchase these pipes. All is worked out with Les and he just wanted to work on them mostly at once as its easier. Have My own tray and can get the pipes when have the spare funds..

Here are the bulldogs. Problem being what was planned as a Tudor Root had too nice a grain to be stained darker. Les said it is 1/1000 chance of getting this grain and he couldn't cover it up with the Tudor Root stain. Now I already have a root ferndown bulldog with tapered stam, so not sure if I will keep it.
