not sure what to do for a finish. dremel tool. rustic tool or sand till the cow come home and do a smooth finish.was going to do a straight wall poker but there was a chunck out of the bottom of the block so ended up like this.

How do you feel about partially rusticating the bowl? Say, only where the fingers naturally fall when you're holding the bowl. How would you do that? Smooth-sand all of it first, then go at it with the Dremel tool?

yes cortezattic that`s how you would do it. it has some nice grain so i will stain it to see what it looks like before i do any rustic work.but need to sand it.

well this pipe had a bunch of little specks of black on it. looked like pepper.

nice grain but with the flaws i rusticated it. will post picks after i buff it out.
