I have a room in my house that I watch tv and smoke in.No one complains about it unless I smoke that stinky stuff(Latakia). That I smoke on the porch.Even here in Carolina though some days it gets pretty cold out there.I hate winter. The good news is it's pretty short here compared to where I used to live up north.I sure will be glad when Latakia season gets here again.

I have a great deck for summer smoking, but here in Vermont winters are a tad chilly so I smoke in my unheated basement (when the kids are still up.)
After they go to sleep, I smoke in the living room. For my wife's sake I do not smoke anything that remotely smells like latakia, cigarettes, etc. Instead I usually mix a small amt of 1792 flake with a nice aro.
I also use a scented candle or incense to mute out the odor which works very well. In the morning the left-over scent in the room is the incense, not the tobacco.

Luckily, my family uses the wood fireplace in the living room almost daily, and they don't see how it matters if I add more smoke to the mix. Since it already smells like a campfire, I even get away with Latakia! (Oddly enough, my mom loves the smell of Nightcap...)

When I'm back to school after break, the only option is braving the weather in one of the few windblocked spots on the Michigan campus or smoking in a very generous friend's house. Fortunately, he doesn't mind that I show up three or more days a week.

It's a LOT colder here in Maine and the winds off the ocean here in winter are often brutal.
My wife and I were in Maine in May for our Honeymoon. It's was beautiful up there and we loved it. I kind of think it looks like WV but with an ocean. We stayed in Portland (Regency Hotel) and I loved the weather (and area). It was cold and windy on the coast though! I definitely would not mind ending up there one day.

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Frequently under -30 degrees celsius in winter. But, luckily, we have scorching hot summers so I can't wait for summer smoking!

I'm a blessed man.. I have a man cave build on to my house that use to be an orchid room for the previous owner. I makes for a great place to display my manly achievements, like hunting trophys Ect. even though the night's will normally get down into the mid 20's here and the occasional teen's it's heated and A/Ced so when I want a smoke I'll pop out there and kick back maybe watch the game or something..I even smoke my cigars out there.. It's mine..myyyy precious

I mostly smoke in the car on the way to work, during lunch (usually at Smoker's Haven or outside when the weather isn't bad), and on the way home. I rarely smoke at home. However, I have learned that I can get away with Lane's 1Q in my radio room after my wife is asleep. She doesn't know I smoked it!!
So I think I am good with aromatics, not English blends.

I was going to complain until I saw Der posting, Winnipeg is the coldest major city on the planet! I'm just outside of Toronto where its cold but nothing compared to Winnepeg. I've converted my shed to my smoking lounge, have a space heater turned on for a half hour before I go out, bring out my tablet and watch a movie on Netflix while smoking. Not luxurious but it does the trick.

I actually prefer smoking in the cooler to colder weather, maybe its just me but I get a purer taste with the low temps. Live in the northeast and don't mind going out for a smoke. :puffpipe:

I get to smoke year round outside! I am good until about -23C, then it pretty much is no longer worth it. Even then it is a pretty fast bowl.
Looking forward to summer and camping in the mountains with my pipe.

winter sucks !!
+1. I despise it. I am noticing the days are slowly getting longer now, but we're under a ton of snow in Ottawa and it was frosty cold again today. We are getting some "warm" temps over the next few days which will be a nice relief, but we could be screwed at any given opportunity here over the next 3 months or so.

Whatever happened to the days when a man's home was his castle and he was the King. If he wanted to smoke his pipe by damn he smoked his pipe. "Woman, get in the kitchen and fix my dinner".

Okay, I've been divorced for a year. I guess now you know why :D
