Will having pipes behind UV-protective acrylic significantly help reduce oxidation?

I inherited an old pipe rack that I want to display my pipes in. From what I can tell it just has regular glass on the door.

I'm wondering if getting some UV-protective acrylic will help reduce the sun's affect on oxidizing the stems.

Any reduction in UV light exposure will help guard against oxidation.
