As the title said. I just opened some sailor jack I bought last year and it looks like forest floor. Big chunks of leaf and challenging to pack even after i further shredded it by hand. See pic. That is what it looks like after i shredded it. Is this normal for some blends?

I can't speak to this particular blend, but this is what you get from slicing a lot of true plugs made with whole leaf. Careful packing has always given me a good smoke. I can add that the stock product image from Wilke does look a little chunky, but definitely not this rough. 4a1835eefd06a6f8db59.jpg
