As in the topic, I suppose domestic is supposed to charge less due to tariffs. Let me give you an example: In jrcigar.com ( though I know they're not a typical pipe baccy shop but for a beginner like me, I want to feel the tin and read label rather than blindly order online ), it seems most imported pipe tobacco charges less . Any idea on that?

Ummmmm Americans don't work cheap. And isn't most tobacco imported? [turkey, cypress, etc.] Local Taxes can double or triple the cost of a tin as well. Ordering online tends to be the cheapest way.
Buying locally always seems to cost a wee bit more, but we need to do both to support all lovers of the leaf! :puffy:

But some baccy is manufactured in EU like Danish or Germany as label said. I suppose their labor cost are close to that of America's. Sorry totally no idea on this. Just guess. But local taxes I think might be a reason.
Do you have any good online store to share? Thanks.

More specific examples of the perceived disparity would be helpful in garnering responses, I think. Such things as type of blend, amount actually tinned, and (as mentioned above) source of component tobaccos would seem to matter along with brand.
