Who is the Stanwell Royal Danish expert on here?

My well meaning sister found the pipe in the picture at a junk shop in East Texas and decided to buy it for me. I say well meaning because I don't know what the real condition of the pipe is or how it stamped and won't know for sure until I get it next week. She said it has Royal Danish Made in Denmark on it and the number 991R. It also has a crown on the stem.
Now, I know it's a Royal Danish - which is a Stanwell second - and it was made in Denmark. What I don't know and haven't found in my online search is "What is a 991R?"

$40.00 is a little high. It looks like one of the old ones, which were great smokers. I have a few and they are terrific. No fills back then for the most part.

I probably wouldn't have paid more than $25 myself, but it was one of my sisters trying to do something nice for me so I'm not complaining too much. Just want to find out what the shape is.

I don't know the pricing on those used, but at least your sister didn't spend a great amount. As much as I can see, I think it will restore nicely, 'could be something of a looker. Family gifts always have a certain status, if they work out at all.

Turns out she sent me to wrong photo. It is a 991R which apparently is the Ukulele shape designed for Stanwell by Sixteen Ivarsson. Working on it to restore it to smoking condition now. The rim was really in bad shape but instead of completely cutting it down, I was able to sand it down to better shape. May still rusticate the stem.
