Whitehall pipes: what's your opinion?

Does anyone have Whitehall pipes, and what do you think of them?

I have three whitehall pipes and I love them. Two billiards and one halfbent. They all are of high quality craftsmanship and great smokers.

I think old pipes are cool often with interesting history. I had a Whitehall bent billiard pipe that was a nice smoker, but had a couple of fills. So I decided to use it to try my first rustication treatment. I partly rusticated both sides of the pipe and was quite happy with the way it came out. I'd been getting my neighbor interested in smoking, and when he saw it he really liked it too, so I gave it to him. After almost 8 months he's still smoking it, with no complaints!

I've got three Whitehalls, all are meerschaum lined and made in Italy. Two of them are in my regular rotation.

I redid an old Washington Park the other day that I had gotten in a pipe lot. Nothing spectacular about the pipe but the cleanup turned out well and was good practice. I haven't smoked it so don't have an opinion on that yet.
