I have a tin of MacBerens Vanilla Cream Flake Cut and I got a sample of it loose from a friend. I can taste a Big difference. The tin has a bit more of a spicey bite than the loose, yet the tinned has a bit more moisture. I tried drying the tinned so it would be close to the loose in moisture, both smoked the same but had totally different taste experience...Is this normal, and do other tobaccos do the same when compared?

From my limited experience, I would say bulk is better for flavor.
Not that the flavor is better really, but Bulk tends to come moister than tinned tabac. That means you can dry it out to YOUR preference rather than smoking someone else's.
