Where to buy?

Canadian currently down in North Carolina for the past 3 weeks, having no luck finding some tobacco. All the “ tobacco” shops sell cigarettes, kratom and bongs. I’ll be heading up to Virginia next week, figured I MUST be able to find some in of all States, Virginia!! I’ll be travelling between Cape Hatteras and Deltaville, VA. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

You didn't check out Pipe by George in Raleigh, NC? There were few post about it recently.

I usually search for Cigar shops when I travel. I get better Google hits.

I second Pipes by George in Raleigh. It's not a big shop, but it has character and a real pipe man as proprietor. Last time I was there, his neighbors were a tattoo shop and a bike shop, though the neighborhood has gentrified and gone from big old family homes subdivided into student apartments to multi-story condo developments.

George has a wide plank floors, a smoking table with ash trays and conversation depending on who is there. He has a good pipe wall, a selection of blends including bulk, and a disclaimer on the door warning that pipe smoke might be encountered inside. I think he was grandfathered in on that point.

It's a grand old shop and worth a visit when ever you are in Raleigh. It is between the NCSU campus and the downtown, and there is a little parking lot at the end of the block.
