With Venguer, Windsail, and Two Timer, am I smoking RYO in a pipe? Not that that's a problem if someone likes it, but is that what I'm doing with those blends? If you leave the bag sealed, RYO will last a very long time. Jar it up when you decide to open it.
D&R products are a crossover. With Venguer, Windsail, and Two Timer, am I smoking RYO in a pipe? Not that that's a problem if someone likes it, but is that what I'm doing with those blends?

So, I should get better tobacco than this? These labels are not to help you enjoy your pipe. Good tobacco will smoke good in a pipe.

gotcha. ok. Good tobacco is enjoyable in a pipe. I agree. ThanksNot at all what I meant. My all time favorite blend for a pipe is a Daughters and Ryan blend. Daughters and Ryan is good tobacco.
I keep a few pounds of the OHM stuff for cigarettes.. even it isn't bad in a pipe.
Lord no, D&R is great! Even Stokkebye and GH make crossover blends. So, I should get better tobacco than this?
Everything can be. I've used ODF, Sansepolcro, and many others as RYO and often chew GH ropes. But to my Grandad Prince Albert was a "crossover".

These should be good for a couple of years. I've kept Rimboché in it's bag for a couple of years, but not longer, as the plastic is not air tight and the content will dry out. This is just a stock image of a pound of good leaf from Daughter's and Ryan. I have a few different blends from Ryan, unopened, but will this suffice for years in a cellar or should I just open then up and put them in gallon sized Mason jars already?

Had to check this out, due to the name. By odd chance, a reviewer whose opinions I respect had this to say about D&R packaging. Perhaps it's obsolete. Dunno. Never had any.
