This is just a stock image of a pound of good leaf from Daughter's and Ryan. I have a few different blends from Ryan, unopened, but will this suffice for years in a cellar or should I just open then up and put them in gallon sized Mason jars already?

With Venguer, Windsail, and Two Timer, am I smoking RYO in a pipe? Not that that's a problem if someone likes it, but is that what I'm doing with those blends?

These labels are not to help you enjoy your pipe. Good tobacco will smoke good in a pipe.

Crossover might help you understand it.. But to my Grandad Prince Albert was a "crossover".

The old tins used to say cigarette and pipe tobacco.

These should be good for a couple of years. I've kept Rimboché in it's bag for a couple of years, but not longer, as the plastic is not air tight and the content will dry out.

So, I should get better tobacco than this?
D&R tobacco blends are made from good sources. Crap they are not.

That said, should you continue to enjoy smoking a pipe you should definitely try other blends by other makers to discover what you like.

The Pipe Smokers alternative to Viagra! LOL ?

Had to check this out, due to the name. By odd chance, a reviewer whose opinions I respect had this to say about D&R packaging. Perhaps it's obsolete. Dunno. Never had any.

Edit 12/14/17: I have to vent about the closures on the pound bags D&R uses. I am on my 4th pound bag of D&R tobacco, and the closures on the bags fail reliably before you have smoked a half of the pound. It is no problem to transfer it to a gallon ziplock freezer bag, but they need to change bag vendors.
