When A Cleaner Won't Pass

Have a BC Montagnarde and now the extension won't come out. I can't pass a cleaner through. How else can I clean the mortise?

Very small bottle brushes available online.
Maybe try a cleaner dipped in a little alcohol / 151, or both of those things.
