Actually, my brother and I both grew up in Lancashire. He moved to Yorkshire (an act regarded as close to treason in the former, and as an obvious choice in the latter). For myself, Mrs. B. and I had always wanted to move here, and finally managed it 7 years ago. I'd agree that it is one of the loveliest counties in England
