Whatcha Smokin' St Patty's Day

Just curious. What you all gonna smoke and what pipe will you use? I have been quite ill for several weeks now and docs can't figure it out so I will likely be drinking tea and smoking nothing I had my Peterson 314 all ready to go with some Eileen's Dream or maybe some Old Dublin but it ain't happening so let me live through you all.

Old Joe Krantz Blue in a Falcon Shaleigh stem with a center green tube and a green limited-edition bowl. Also, a Peterson bent #69 Irish Army Mount loaded with C&D Pegasus.

I'm in the middle of moving and every pipe is packed except the Petersons (and one Dunhill). So that's fitting. I'll fill them with red vapers, as that seems to be this month's tobacco obsession.

A lot of Irish in my genes so, for me it's more a religious observation. I'll smoke the usual and toast the saint with a bit of wine and, of course, a drop or two of Guinness. Now even Ireland parties. You all enjoy the festivities.

I still have some Peterson's Irish Flake sitting about. I would try to smoke it but I'm in Chicago and the only think capable of lighting it is the US Department of Energy's SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory's new laser, the Linac Coherent Light Source, which fires rapid-fire laser pulses to heat up matter to over 3.6 million degrees Fahrenheit, is in Menlo Park California. So I think I'll fire up some Dark Bird's Eye and put on some Irish peat brick in the fireplace.

My pipe choices for This Saint Patrick's Day are a Peterson 2018 SPD. B10 and a Peterson 1998 SPD. 01 ( first year for the SPD. pipes) Not decided entirely on the tobacco, but one bowl will be Capstan Blue Flake for certain.

I haven't decided on a blend yet, but I'll smoke my pipe commemorating Ireland from the Peterson Around the World Series that had pipes honoring various countries including Ireland, U.S., U.K. Germany, and France, if I remember correctly, each one a different shape. The Irish pipe is a slightly bent bulldog in a smooth finish with a red stain and a wide band engraved with the Celtic cross. I think the series was discontinued about ten years ago, but I'm sure they are still on the estate market. Irish Flake would be one best choice, but the tin isn't open, so I may smoke something else. For this holiday, maybe an English blend isn't the best choice.

Same here. I come from the Furey clan. Been to Ireland only twice and would love to retire there. Summers in Ireland and winters in Portugal would be perfect
