Like most pipe related matters I realize this is a matter of opinion, but you get enough opinions bellowing in the same direction, it might cake into what one might call a consensus.
How are Ropp these days?

Have one of Ropp's horn stem line in a triangle shape.
It is SO good.
I guess a maker like Peterson is more polarizing in this regard.
Castello seems better than ever.
Any gripes I've read about Peterson lately have dealt with the colour of the St. Patrick's Day pipes and not with quality control. So that's something.
I also recognize a distinct improvement of newer Castellos compared to older ones. They have definitely stepped up their staining and I do like the draw of current Castellos better.
Not very many have "gone down the tubes". We just lost Brebbia. Were there more? The title suggests that many are going out of business. Am I missing something? Should I be panicked?
Ha, I live in a perpetual state of confusion. No worries. It was probably just me that took it wrong. I haven't seen many about declining quality. What did Foggy say about it?Sorry for the confusion I meant in regards to quality. I was reading Foggymountain posts into the wee hours of the night while sipping on ripple and became paranoid over the issue.

Who? Was he talking about, Dunhills? I ask because I know he collected a ton of Dunnies. He said on multiple occasions that they don’t care about the quality of their pipes anymore,

Sorry, by "who" I meant "what pipe company". I knew it was Foggy, ha ha.I was talking about the legend known as Foggymountain.

Ha ha, me too... all the time. I have to keep checking to make sure I have pants on.For a minute I thought you were going senile
Regarding Castello, would love to have a tomato
