Walnut maybe? Hard to tell with the dark stain. Can't see much about the metal insert in the bowl. Is this connected to the airway in the stem?

It looks like rubberwood to me, but hard to tell with the dark stain and thick finish. It has also been marketed as oak even though it isn't related, and is used in a shit ton of cheap Chinese wooden furniture and home decor.

No idea what the thing in the bottom of the bowl is, but it's not a weed pipe like some have suggested. Honestly, I wouldn't bother with it when a real pipe can be had for only a few bucks.

Pretty sure this isn't briar. No brand names or logos. Anyone have any idea what type of wood this is, the brand, or if it's even safe to smoke? Any help appreciated.

My guess is until recent times a lot of states like Missouri had incredibly severe laws against “head shops”, and that’s a rule beater pipe.

Mr Prosecuting Attorney running for re-election would play hell getting a deep water Baptist jury foreman to find that beautiful big Danish looking pipe was intended only for smoking cannabis.:)

But it’s a one hitter, see the little screen in the bottom?

You could smoke tobacco in it but no real pipe smoker is likely to.
