Something that catches my eye in the shop. Then it would have to meet my criteria. I wouldn't buy a pipe uninspected or unfondled. I won't purchase a pipe I haven't fondled, period. And, moneys are never an issue. If money wasn't an issue what pipe would you purchase.
Serious question. I may have missed this, but why do you only smoke Peterson pipes?Probably more Peterson 264 and 313/338. Like those small pipes.
My first pipe was a 1971 Donegal 338. It smokes and looks great still! It hangs nicely while I’m driving, reading, etc.Probably more Peterson 264 and 313/338. Like those small pipes.
I just like the way they look, and the way they smoke. It's not too fancy, very traditional looking and it's an everyman's brand. How can you go wrong?Serious question. I may have missed this, but why do you only smoke Peterson pipes?
Have you seen the Tom Eltang Eskimo pipes?View attachment 188165
The top one in this pic by Ed Burak is what I'm hoping to someday have the chance to acquire. Have yet to have had the opportunity or even see one in person.
