I have recently been told that the good people at G,H, & Co. have decided to discontinue my favorite of their fine offerings, the Bosun Cut Plug. I am hoping that someone here could maybe discredit that info, maybe give me some good news...or confirm the loss of a longtime companion (and perhaps recommend a suitable replacement?)

I hope not. It's a favourite of mine. It's a GH stawlart so they couldn't posibly discontinue it.

Bluegrassbrian, thank you for that offer, and I think I'll gladly work some sort of arrangement with you.
Fishingandpupes, I recently placed an order through an online retailer, and called their customer service about BCP, as it was out of stock. The employee there told me it was being discontinued. I hesitate to name names, in case this employee was speaking without having proper information, and I am not a 'public shaming' kind of guy. Suffice to aay, I am desperately hoping this was just some kind of misunderstanding on her end, as I have a custom pipe dedicated to that blend, and there aren't really any blends close to it, to my knowledge.

Well, there's Coniston Cut Plug, which I think is close, but I'd be surprised if they got rid of Bosun.
Never know, though. I bought a 500g bag juuuuust in case, because it was on the list to restock. If true, too bad but at least I have some to smoke through, if not, I was going to do that soon anyways. I do think it's one of their best blends, and one that's a bit of a sleeper.

I was about to order a pound of so of it when I found it out of stock. Hence the call and (possible) bad news. I wouldn't think they would give it up either, as it seems to have major fans other than myself. My own 500g bag is down to about a bowl of my dedicated pipe. I emailed G & H directly, but haven't gotten a reply.

Hawky, thank you for the heads up. I have a couple of places to raid soon. Still no other word on its status...but given that no one is corroborating, I am thinking that the aforementioned customer service person was misinformed or just didn't know why they were out of stock and not sceduled for resupply, and told me that for whatever reason.

I sure hope that's the case but regardless, I'll be stocking up with a 500g bag come next pay day, cause ya really just never know and I'm running low on my current stash.

Well, a report. Apparently that CS rep was talking out her backside, as three other stores have no knowledge of BCP being discontinued. Gawith and Hoggarth and Co. have not replied to my inquiry, however. If they ever answer, I'll share any insight they offer. Apologies for any unrest this caused anyone else; and thanks all for the input!

Well, Jay, many thanks for that tipoff, and apologies for not acknowledging sooner.
I just had to share this beautiful bit of news; the very retailer whose customer service rep told me that BSC was discontinued HAS IT IN STOCK! Amazing, and a bit baffling, how this misinformation could come about. Though I am quite thrilled that it was a cross wire on their end or just someone pulling things out of thin air.
