I know it's traditionally last week of September. It just.. It seems it has gone by without any celebration. Kind same thing happened with Cinco de Mayo. No big party going on. Is it the inflation? People just not drinking much now days?

I was going to say that since the marriage has been over for a long time (due to death) people stopped celebrating. They only just noticed this year though, when some drunkard said hey where is Louis and his blushing bride.

Covid pandemic cancelled many October Fests as well as many other various festivals, sporting events, other gatherings. Many are gradually returning now
Covid, most likely. People learned they could over imbibe at home, cheaper without all the socializing.
The Indian River County Florida Octoberfest is being held next weekend at the county fairgrounds. Food/Beer. I'm going. Wife will be designated driver!
