I was just thinking about carving a few briar/small flake pipes

like this one, with a Dragon's spin on it of course...perhaps

with some pop'in crazy grains ;-)

Yeah, my thoughts exactly...I was thinking an MM Washington sized

bowl, grains-a-pop'in, 3/4" chamber diameter, black acrylic reed

shank and stem....I think if the grains are out-of-this world, the

design might be a hit....

I like all kinds of pipes. I will be interested to see what you come up with.

I like that mini metal mount. Very cool if you could incorporate that feature into your next dragon. :puffpipe:

It sort of reminds me of the little Peterson Tankard that I have. The stem is a little awkward, but I like the bowl design.

Its a very old style of pipe for sure. Originally the white shank would have been an albatross bone. I guess the albatross huggers put an end to that

Hate it...not likely I will ever own a Dunhill (out of my price for sure) but if I did it sure wouldn't be anything but a traditional size and shape.
Maybe some day some one will gift me one or leave me one in their will....lol....I hope.

I love the bowl. I think the thin stem does not complement the strong masculinity of the straight sided bowl. The radius of the curve is fine, but I'd like to see the stem thicker and maybe shorter, then they would match aesthetically for me. The tiny connection of the stem to the bowl I hate, an extra bulbous end where it meets the bowl, like where the bit meets the stem might work. The pronounced spread of the bit is OK. Obviously the white is hideous. I also did not know Dunhill made funky pipes.
