What do I have here?

I picked this up in a Meerschaum lot on the'bay. I think it is a meer made for Churchill's of Norwich. Churchill's

It certainly is a nice looking pipe.

It looks WAY better now than when I received it. It had a cake in it that was about 1/8 of an inch thick.

It may not be legible in the above photo, but the nomenclature states "Peterson's Meerschaum Lined"

I have seen some Pete's that have a similar shape, but not quite the same.

Does any body have any clue as to the age of the Pete pot billiard? My best guess is that it might be patent era, but as with most Peterson's it is so hard to tell.

the forked tail P places it early (or does it).although if patent era I think it would be stamped as such,what if any COM mark is it?

There is no COM. Which would make it easier, of course.
