Until typing those out I didn't really consider myself an "aro guy" ?

Haha, I’d say “lakeland guy” is probably more accurate.

The Peterson seasonal editions and Special Reserve are often worth a look. I've tried 6 so far and enjoyed them all to varying degrees, the 2019 Special Reserve (still available) is a very nice chocolate & coffee aromatic.

Cut Virginia Plug or Sir Johns Flake is about as Aero as I get. I do enjoy those 2 blends very much.

I have a couple of tins of Exotic Orange squirreled away.

I have some 10 year old cru #4 and #2 that I have tried to like, to no avail.

SWR Aromatic, burley base, Virginia as condiment, flavored with three liqueurs

Granger, sometimes identified as a non-aro, molasses

Mixture No. 79, licorice

Planta Tobacco of the Year 2012, marula fruit that ferments and makes elephants drunk

Erin Go Bragh, Irish whiskey

C'est La Vie, vanilla

I tend to be mostly a nonzero smoker, but enjoy an aromatic as a change of pace, as long as it is tobacco forward; I want the flavoring to bring up the tobacco taste, not crowd it out.

IMO Gawith, Hoggarth, & Co. are the masters of aromatics. There are a ton of other excellent makers out there which says a lot about GH&C.

My personal favorite:

GH&C American Delight

Their Kentucky Nougat is good also but stronger.

My second favorite:

Sutliff Spiced Rum

I find I like Sutliff more than Lane. While Sutliff can be goopy sometimes I don't get the chemical taste I get from Lane sometimes.
