Brothers In Arms is a great album. Released in May 1985, it featured 5 singles and was Dire Straits best selling album with well over 30 million albums sold. It was a UK No. 1 album for 14 weeks and was Top Ten on the Billboard charts. It also won multiple awards including a Grammy. It features two of the best tracks from the 80's with "Money For Nothing" and "Walk of Life." It contains some of Mark Knopfler's best guitar work. How can anyone not like this album... oh wait you're talking about tobacco. Never mind, carry on...

I was really surprised by this blend. I generally prefer burley forward blends and this sounded promising. It’s very bold, dark and rich. The dark fired is of course very prominent but I also get a hint of the oriental and perique, with a spicy and peppery secondary flavor. There is an underlying bit of sweetness as well. To me there seems to be a lot going on, definitely a more complex blend. It’s ready to go right out of the tin and burns well. The nicotine seems med-high and so far it’s been a wonderful evening smoke. I’ve ordered five more tins and it’s very quickly becoming one of my new favorites.

Idk, I love the stuff. Like a lightly smokey cherry chocolate cream. Lots of delicious nuance.

Just got my smoking pipes order in for Per Jensen new legacy series. I ordered several tins of brothers and arms and it’s good but not what I was expecting. From the reviews I read, many were touting it as an ODF replacement or having a rich DFK presence but honestly all I’m getting from it is the burley. Sort of that woody, mushroomy, forest floor notes which is delicious but not complex. Anyone else in this boat or am I smoking it wrong?
I get a lot more out of it than you and I love it.
But I think I'd prefer it without the orientals and more dark fired.
G&W makes some awesome dark fired blends in bulk that I'd recommend if haven't already tried them
