What a Difference!

Bought a nos meerschaum pipe for relatively cheap knowing I would absolutely hate the stem. And I did. Horrible thing. Orange, cheap and nasty.

Had Rich at Briarville make me new swirled blue acrylic stem right from the start. Just got it back and it blew my socks off! Smoking it now. What a fantastic difference! Hats off to Rich.

Had him replace a couple of stems on some freehands which I love. Though, oddly, both pipes became a bit wetter to smoke after that happened. Regardless,, the stem change was needed.

It took me a long time - too long - to realize it’s my pipe and if I don’t like something then just have it customized. It’s been a revelation.

Even something as minor as having a button or bite zone thinned just a skosh (technical term, lol).

No regrets!
